The Chestnut Group is a non-profit group of “plein air” painters in Tennessee who support land trust and conservation efforts throughout Tennessee and is nearly 200 members strong. Every year, the event roster grows as the organization broadens its reach and membership. In recent years, the group has expanded its mission to include protecting historic sites and structures, such as Glen Leven Farm. They have partnered with The Land Trust of Tennessee, Cheekwood Botanical Garden, Belle Meade Plantation, Friends of Radnor Lake, The Battle of Franklin Trust, The Nature Conservancy of Tennessee, The Hermitage Historic Site and The Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation.
